Through its cashless network of over 3,400 workshops, IFFCO Tokio offers a cashless claim settlement process.
In case your car is damaged in an accident or any other mishap, you can file a cashless claim with IFFCO Tokio by following the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Reach Out to IFFCO Tokio

Step 2: Claim Number
You will be given a claim number as well as confirmation that your claim settlement request is approved. The company will also inform you of the following measures that must be taken.
Step 3: Arrangement of Towing Service
Request the IFFCO Tokio arrange towing service for the damaged car, or arrange for your own towing service to transfer the insured vehicle to the nearest IFFCO Tokio-approved cashless garage. If you have the ‘Clock Spot Assistance’ cover, then the towing expenses will also be borne by the company.
Step 4: Survey and Repairs
Your car will be surveyed by a surveyor sent by the insurance company who will assess the extent of the damage. Post surveyance your car will be repaired at the workshop. The surveyor will provide you with a claim form.
Step 5: Settlement of Claim
After the completion of repairs and all formalities, you will have to pay your part of liabilities (deductibles) while the rest will be paid by the insurer directly to the workshop.
If you can not find an IFFCO Tokio cashless workshop nearby you can take your car to any other garage for repairs. Below are the steps, which you need to follow to file a reimbursement claim.
Step 1: Get in Touch With Your Insurer
Contact IFFCO Tokio and inform about the accident/mishap. You can call the insurer at the toll-free number 1800 103 5499 and ask the representative to initiate the reimbursement claim settlement process. Alternatively, you can also initiate a claim on their website.
Step 2: Reference Number
IFFCO Tokio will contact you with a claim reference number as well as details on the documents that must be submitted and the next steps to take. Also, fill the claim form, which you can download from their website.
Step 3: Take Your Car to a Garage
Tow your car to any nearest workshop for repairs. The company will send a surveyor to inspect your car, after which it will be repaired at the workshop. If the accident is severe, the insurer will have the vehicle inspected by a surveyor before moving it to the garage.
Step 4: Documentation
Submit the duly signed claim form along with the documents asked by the representative. Also, submit all receipts/bills of repairs to make a final settlement of the claim amount.
Step 5: Claim Amount Disbursal
You need to pay all the cost of repairs at the garage. However, the company will reimburse you for the expenses after factoring in deductible and applicable depreciation (if not opted for zero depreciation add-on).
(Note: The insurer may ask to produce additional documents, if required)
The following are the most common reasons due to which a claim can get rejected:
To enjoy your IFFCO Tokio car insurance plan to the fullest, you must be aware of the No Claim Bonus benefit offered by it. As per the Indian Motor Tariff, an insured becomes entitled to avail the benefit of NCB only at the policy renewal time which is generally one year. The NCB is zero when you buy a car insurance policy, and after each claim-free year, you get a discount on your own-damage premium, which lowers your policy expense for the next year. The no-claim bonus discount starts at 20% and rises with every year of claim-free coverage, up to a maximum of 50%.
However, in order to keep earning No Claim Bonus benefits, you must renew your car insurance policy within 90 days of its expiry date. If you do not renew your car insurance policy within 90 days of its expiry date, your NCB will be canceled, and your cycle will restart. Also, you need to keep in mind that NCB is associated with the policyholder and not the vehicle, hence, it is transferable to another car of yours, so do remember to transfer to your new car. Lastly, even a single claim can make you lose the NCB benefit, so try not to raise any claim for minor damages and bear their losses yourself.

By Munish Sharma On: September 15, 2023The claim amount depends on a number of factors such as the type of policy purchased, add-on covers, deductibles, the extent of damage, etc. The insurer pays the full IDV of the vehicle as the claim amount in case of total constructive loss of your vehicle, i.e., when your vehicle gets at least 75% damaged.
Yes, you can easily file a claim settlement request online with IFFCO Tokio by visiting their website and providing the required details.
In the case of theft of a vehicle, you need to register an FIR (First Information Report) at the nearest police station and inform your insurer. The police will try to trace your vehicle until 90 days after which the police will issue a non-traceable report for your vehicle. The matter will then proceed to a court of law which will issue a Non Objection Certificate (NOC). Post NOC issuance, the insurer undertakes an investigation from its side to trace the vehicle. In case the insurer is not able to find the vehicle, the claim settlement process gets initiated.
The zero depreciation add-on cover exempts you from the liability to pay for the applicable depreciation on your car and its parts. However, you remain liable to pay for deductibles - compulsory and voluntary (if opted for).
Yes, you are required to make payment for your part of liability while the insurance provider covers the rest. Moreover, for reimbursement claim settlement, you are required to pay the complete amount but later the insurance company would remiumburse it.
